Description :
The mountain gorilla, one of the two subspecies of the eastern gorilla, it lives in the high forest mountains of central Africa, particularly in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, north western Rwanda, and eastern Rwanda. South west Uganda.
It is a very large animal up to 2m tall with a weight between 140 and 300 kg for males and between 70 and 110 kg for females. Despite this imposing build, it is a very friendly animal.
The choice of their home is not trivial because these herbivores have a very special daily diet. It turns out that a male needs 38 kg of food and the female 25kg. This is why they absolutely need to live in an environment with very dense vegetation.
Unfortunately due to the effects of high deforestation and poaching, Mountain Gorilla is one of the most endangered species on the planet.
This painting proves once again the commitment and determination of the artist MaxiDiouf for the cause of protected species. He is also very concerned with the preservation of ecology and the environment in general. The eco-artist MaxiDiouf uses recycled plastic and recycled fishing nets, in combination with acrylic paint to make this magnificent artwork.
