Description :
The Amur leopard is a leopard subspecies native to the region of southeastern Russia and northeast China. It is said to be the biggest cat in the world.

The eco-artist MaxiDiouf painted the Amur leopard, to warn about its critical situation. It is a species declared to be at high risk of extinction by IUCN in 1996. A recent report shows that there are only 50 specimens in the wild versus only 200 still captive. That is the result of the abusive cutting of forest trees that serve as natural habitat for the Amur leopard. Poaching is also another problem that darkens the future of the Amur Leopard.

Although these results seem a little pessimistic, the fate of the Amur leopard is still not sealed. This animal species can still be saved. It is surely the opinion of the eco-artist MaxiDiouf who remains faithful to his mission to work positively for the cause of animal species in critical danger. Through this unique artwork, the artist uses recycled plastic and recycled fishing nets to paint an Amur leopard.
